Hey BBB that is incredible,I would love to go to Russia and do some of that.Do they say what they do with the skeleton's when they find them?Do they try and identify them and locate any family that may still be around?I know you probally can't read Russian ;DHH,Tom

Kinda dangerous hunting. some of the rifles an Mg's look like they could be restored. The tank was in incrediable condition. Really interesting site! THanks!

Digging up unexploded ordinance is not for me The picture of the two guys kneeling next to the bomb, which looks to be several hundred pounds, gave me the willies. Even just one of those motar rounds would be enough to spread you out all over the place. I wonder how you are supposed to know before you sink a shovel blade into the ground if the target is a helmet or a cannon shell...maybe Russian detectors have more advanced target ID setups than ours

Reminds me of when I toured Corregidor Island in the Philippines. That island was hit with so much ordnance, when the Americans were holding out from the Japs, and then when the Japs were holding out from the Americans, that almost every handfull of dirt would turn up a spent shell or a bullet.
