have a silverado with a factory alarm. trouble is it sometimes goes off for no reason. about once a week between 4-6 am. now i do understand that animals , harley davidsons ,loud stereo`s ,and other passing noises could be the culprit but on several ocasions ive been within eyeshot of the truck when it happens and its dead quiet outside, no animals scurrying about. any advice apritiated. jeff

Maybe it was just telling you that it was lonely.

Sounds like the sensitivity is set too high. Have it checked out and dropping it a bit might help. The other possiblity is that the battery is low or a wet connection, sometimes that will make it go off for no reason.

Yup, ususally the sensitivity is the problem. Alot of times I set off car alarms with walkie talkies and and mobile radios unintentially of course.

Next time it goes off check the temperature of the air. Sometimes cool/hot temps may bring an alarm to sound off. This should be fixable by adjusting the sensitivity.
Gold luck,
