like letter written never sent. Should've posted it - think I wrote it in response to an Montara T post on a day a month or so ago that he found seven gold rings "sniping" at the beach.
...
Grew up with older brother. We had this thing: if one wanted something from the other - for example, let's say your bicycle had a flat tire or was otherwise screwed up and you needed a bike right now to go somewhere. You'd go find your brother and say - hey, I need your bike (which puts the bastard in complete power over you) and he'd say, rubbing his chin, matter of factly, "That'll be ten 'Osahamas'" To perform such a feat you'd get on on your knees, raise your hands above your head as if a Muslim at prayer and lower your head and hands to the floor while saying, "Osahama" [hey, this was 1968 and we didn't know the right pronunciation was in fact "Osama"- Osahama is better anyway, got a better "true Swami" sound going for it). And you had to do it ten times correctly: bring both forehead and flattened palms to the ground and not sound as if your voice was mocking or laughing [an iota of humorous derision for certain would be detected by the other brother]; otherwise, this or that brother could "add" more "Osahamas" to your duty as supplicant.
Well, looking at your collection of gold rings, all I can say is "Osahama."

You're killin' me. Where did you get that little image. It's perfect. And the cadence of Osahama...Osahama, is perfect. Tomorrow at Flood I be giving you plenty of reasons to practice your "Osahamas", Pops.
