I found a lincoln penny the other day,it is a 1966 no mint mark. It's just a clad, but what got me curious was how thin it is.It has not been flattened, and the minor corrosion. All the details are real good. When being minted could there have been a thin part in the material when being stamped?Just see what everybody thought. Thanks and HH,Tom

Tom in Mant that is an interesting occassional happening. I have found silver coins on the beaches that were paper thin but all the details were still on both sides of the coin. You would think that they would be worn smooth. One of life's mysteries? Dan3

I was wondering Dan3,i had never found a coin like that unless it was real worn and of course you could barely pick out the details. Thanks for the info, now i know i'm not the only one finding these.HH,Tom
