It seems that they're invariably veteran md'ers. Been around. They've gotten- i.e., have found - lots and lots of cool stuff over many their many years of md'ing. As if any of it - either a single item they've found or all of it altogether - is in the last analysis worth a d**n. In a sense, they've lost their hobby (although pathetically - and the attitude resides in pathos, to be sure - they think they "own" it - i.e, the great hobby). Ever notice how such cats never share a gd thing about new sites they've discovered? How they keep each and all such hunt location discoveries to themselves? Yet that they're the first to inquire, with a keen inquisitiveness, regarding new search location possibilities that are mentioned on this forum of which they were unaware that hold true potential? C'mon, don't tell me you don't know what is being said here.
Zero Sum Gainers are cats who think that every cool item found - or gotten - by another is something - e.g., a simple dollar (and that's we're talking about) - is something that should have been theirs: something that they lost by via another having gained [read: found] it. In such thinking lies pathos. And such pathos is nearly daily demonstrated on the forum. Share with me high potential sites that you've discovered Ms. or Mr. [whatever is your handle], and if I decide to bless you - anoint! - you with a response, I will. But don't for a second think that I would ever share in kind. Your reward is my sharing bits and bytes that execute in language on this forum in the form of a response to you (were you to never share something from which I could gain, I'd never respond, and don't forget that, Ms. or Mr. Non-Existent Otherwise).
Such Zero-Sum-Gain-Forumites have lost the joy of dirtfishing that they once knew. And I pity them for that.
Makes me wanna share the five cool imminent demo sites I know of in SJ and the three I know of in SF and the six imminent sites I know of mid-peninsula only with persons whom I sense know indeed the joy of "dirtfishing", regardless of what they end up finding.
Again - (and c'mon), don't tell me you don't know what is being said here.
I hope that I always feel like a "beginner."
And ya'll know what that means, too (and if you don't, you're a veteran for whom I feel pity).
