Does anyone know whether Modesto requires a permit to search city parks? Having trouble locating information. Also new to site and would be interested in teaming up with anyone close to [glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow] for weekend searches.

Whatever you do Purplepenny...don't ask any city official about MD permits or anything like that. It just don't exist down in Southern California! I'm afraid it might give'em another tax $ idea! And this is the best forum to get all your md info! HH- Max

We only have one town (that I know of) down here in So CA where you need to buy a permit. That is Whittier, it is an old Quaker town with lots of nice old houses. But the permit is to hunt on city property. I know 3 MDers from there and they are pretty good hunters. One of them found a hugh gold/diamond ring a little while back, IN A PARK IN MY TOWN It appraised at over $4000 it was a size 15 I think. But what was even more amazing it fit her husband. Whittier is also known as the hometown of Nixon.
