Just received a X-12 for my Explorer II. took it to the beach and could not get the threshold to stop going crazy. Adjusted the sens up and down, noise cancel, nothing helped. I've worked this beach many other times with my X-8 and the stock 10" coils no problems Was falsing like crazy also. Anyone out there use this setup and can help me figure out how to get it working right? Thanks I'd appreciate it

I like Ralph and his coils, probes, etc, but I tried to use a X12 out here in CA and it just did not work. I sent the coil to his tech in FL and we tried to tweak it and he sent it back but to no avail. Different soil out here vs other areas of the Country.
I sold my X-12. My WOT and the 14" Excelerator work better than the X-12 in N. CA.
Personally, in my areas (except beach) I have not seen any depth improvement of the bigger coils, but I do use them for ground coverage improvement when possible.

Thanks Jeff and Ron. I also want to thank Paul too. I actually found a victim to take it off my hands. He did'nt like his "heavy" WOT coil.so he traded me for the X-12. Luckily he's in Penn. and does not do beaches so the coil should work great for him. Well now I'm getting a WOT for my EXII. Anything special I should know about it? advice , settings etc etc. would be helpful. Thanks
