hi i'm both new to this board and new to metal detecting. i bought a fisher 1270 last summer and i am still learning how to use it. there is a lot of information here and i thank one and all for providing it.

i live in knightsen, right next to the delta. i plan on relic hunting most'ly, i've always been interested in history and have a friend who lives in angeles camp. once i learn how to use the 1070 i plan on hunting up there.

I will have to look at the map,sound's familiar.There should be some good site's to hunt around there since that was the main route of travel in the 1800's.HH,Tom

i live about 10 miles east of antioch. there are several abandoned places around and lots of farmland. i just have to get up enough nerve to ask for permission to hunt.
