I'm seeing some great photos of old coins, whats the secret to safe cleaning? If its posted please direct me it... I know its not safe to mess with rare stuff, but is there a way to clean up my coins? thanks in advance for your help. ;D TEXT

Hey Max welcome the forum. Okay one way is to try electralisis,if you go to link's you will see electraisis 101 that is a good one. For wheatie's and IH use peroxide,get a pot of water and put it on the stove at low,then put the peroxide in a bowl with your coin's.Put the bowl in the pot once the water start's heating up the peroxide will start working.When the peroxide is done fizzing you can take them out.Get some Q-tip's to clean to goop off and throw them in some olive oil to soak. Look at your coin's before doing any cleaning to make sure none are key date coin's or valuable one's,if they are do not use these way's to clean coin's take them to somebody to se what they say. Forgot one other cleaning method,this is for silver coin's.Get some baking soda,get your finger's wet and the coin.Put some baking soda on the coin and rub between your finger's until clean then rinse it off.You should have a nice shiny silver coin again.HH,Tom
