We finally got the streets resurfaced in our neighborhood, unfortunately the boys that did the job covered the man hole cover with the asphalt, so today when the rotorooter guys came to root out he sewer lines of all the tree roots they couldn't find the sewer line cover , This is when my wife stepped in and offered my metal-detecting services. I'm grabbed my DFX with the HotShot coil put it in Relic mode and walked on over to where i thought it was , in less than 60 seconds we found the cover and all was well in the world once again, of course I did have a little advantage I took pictures when they were working my part of the street! Who painted the giant green 's' over the sewer cover in the second photo?
Funny story.

the boys that did the job covered the man hole cover with the asphalt, ........they couldn't find the sewer line cover Last year they did the same thing on the streets where I work. After all was done one of the workers pulled out what looked like a radio shack special metal detector and started hunting. The coil was about 8" above the ground and he was swinging it like a pendulem. Guess he found what he was looking for, cause out came the spray paint can.
