Went back to my old faithful, glad I did. As I was ready to pack it in because of darkness I received a nice soft signal. Down about 6inches came this copper medal. This one is really unique, heart shaped. Anyone with info on a translation. I was thinking Spanish, but it just does not click.

Neat find Dave, I am pretty sure Mater is Mother in Latin (which could also be any number of Romance Languages), Not sure about Dolor. I like the medal though, JimClick

Neat find. Here is the complete prayer, which should earn me some sorely needed Karma.
Stabat Mater dolorosa Juxta crucem lacrimosa Dum pendebat Filius Cujus animam gementem Contristatam et dolentem Pertransivit gladius O quam turstis it afflicta Fuit illa benedicta Mater Unigeniti
Which translates to:
At the cross her station keeping Stood the mournful Mother, weeping Close to Me to the last Through her heart, His sorrow sharing All His bitter anguish bearing Now at length the sword has passed O that blessed one, grief laden Blessed Mother, Blessed Maiden Mother of the All blest One.
