Here is a site with a little bit of everything about gold detecting. It's a year or two out of date and definately leans towards the minelab detectors but full of info: www.jacksgold.com/

Goldhart, GaryC/SanBdno here. Thanks for this info site. OK, I printed out all his information and tricks of the trade on nugget hunting.
I read it once, twice, maybe tonight for the third time, so I will be up to speed for my Coolgardie area/Barstow club hunt this weekend.
I think I knew much of this, but I doesn't hurt to see it in print from someone who has been at it for awhile. Especially liked the pages he devotes to coil sizes available and their uses.
Will post what I find or don't find one way or the other. See Ya.

;D Howdy Gary-- was lurking and noticed the post. Out of curiosity I opened it. Jack Lange is very active and well known in Australian circles.
I was out in the El Paso range last week. Rather warm but did do a little detecting; no gold but plenty of trash.
Now have two great-granddaughters,
My Best to You and Yours, Jim
