Due to 'chance of rain in the local mountains' per Mike E., chapter president of Route 66 Gold Miners. According to Mike, rain this time of year means the river runs pretty cold. Too cold to cross, too cold to pan and at times too dangerous to cross! Not too good for the detector people. Half mile, one mile, two, three or even four mile+ hikes...and a possiblity of getting caught in a mountain squall!? Hmmmm...might make an interesting river rescue for the evening news. Naaah! Not a good way for a prospecting club to start prospecting the local area. Going to play it by ear. Sorry guys! But just in case, I'll have my equipment ready! Worst case senerio: This might force me(& my sidekick "boss-lady") to drive to Primm, Nevada for this weekend's GPAA gold show. ;D Two day event with a MD contest ta boot. Well maybe all's not lost afterall! Until next time- HH Max
