Howdy MDers, I just posted some info on our meetings at another thread to Robert in Tracy. I will announce it again a few days before it will actually happen. As to the silver: It's there. I think there are thousands if not 10s of thousands of silver coins in the ground in Stockton and probably about 500,000 or more other coins. If you want to know how I figured those numbers just ask. Just don't want to bore anyone on here with my numbers crunching. Anyways. Most of the stuff is deep since the surface stuff has been picked up over the last 20+ years by hundreds of MDers. Usually you find old coins, silver, wheaties and before at around 6 inches or deeper. It takes a while to tweek the machine and get the experience. But with determination and patience you'll get there. It took me a while and there still are silver droughts of several weeks. In about 4 months I only found 16 silver coins in Stockton. But it's a thrill when it happens. Looking forward to see you at our meeting. HH Martin
