Hi all,
New to this forum. I've been propecting (panning, sluice) on and off up in the Angeles National Forest for a few year new and decided it was time to hit the beaches. I just sold my GoldBug and an now looking for used beach machine. Any suggestions on a good dry sand (maybe a little wet during low tide) detector would be appreciated. I've heard some good things about the Tesoro Sand Shark but would like to hear some more opionions before I plunk down my cash.
Admin help: I registered for this forum under the name "SuperChicken" and got the confirmation email, but now I can't log in. I can log in to the main ProBoard Support site, but not to this board. Any ideas?
Thanks, Dan aka SuperChiken

Oh Boy, another Dan!! How many of us does this make now on the forum?
Anyway, welcome Dan. My own personal preference for a beach machine is the Headhunter Wader. Just an incredible machine for the price. Very light, very sensitive. Worth investigating as you research the possibilities.
HH,
Dan

How many Dan's does it take to make forum? Hi, Dan, I don't live near the beach so can't advise you, but welcome. I'm sure the guys will give you more information than you thought possible, but all good stuff.

This is DanG (thread starter) Thanks for all the replies folks. As you can see, I have managed to sort out the technical difficulty and now have a true forum name and pic. Little more about myself: 34, manager of the WoodCraft store in Stanton, recently joined the Southern Cal Prospectors club in Downey (anyone here from there?), wife 3 months preg with our first child (my second), still looking for a good deal on MD. I'll be lurking in the shadows reading posts until I get my machine. Hope to see you all, Dan aka- SuperChicken
