This is where I spent about 4 hours Saturday morning. This is the old Marineland of the Pacific in So CA. I just found this link this AM. I went there as a kid, it is now in ruins. www.californiacoastline.org/cgi-bin/image.cgi?image=8387&mode=sequential&flags=0&year=2002This is the website that is being sued by barbara strisand, for taking pictures of her backyard. The photos are top quality. Great for doing research on beaches. I could not get into the area itself because of fences, but there are places where "guests" could go that were not fenced off. I could get right up to the round tank buildings. Found three shell casings, a 50's wheetie and a lapel pin dated 1966. I am doing research on the pin and will post that in a day or two, with a picture.

Hey Dan what type of shell casings? I know the US Marines use the old park to practice assult landings. Are they from a M16? About 3 times a year the Marines practice there, it's usaually announced to the public so they don't think we're being invaded. See you Wed. nite at the club meeting. HH Vern2sjc

I want to hust on the inside of the fence, almost everything in gone now. They are building some huge houses right in the middle of that parking lot now.
