Folks, I have another forum in mind - lots of features, solid backend, without the problems of this one.
I can probably have it mostly set up this weekend, we could beta-test it for a few days and move early next week.
Please provide your feedback, it's much appreciated! Thanks.

Whatevers easiest for you Jeffrey.........
All your forums have been successful, not only because of your expertise, but also because of your concern for those that use them.
I know whatever you come up with will be just great...........thanks big guy.........

Jeff, As long as you let us know where to go, we'll be there. Jeff Kinzli, the Pied Piper of metal detectorists in California. Nice ring to it. Just avoid the precipice.

Is this going to be a site that is filtered out by websense? (on the network at work they block it out as hobbies if I recall) I couldn't get to the new forum but I could get to this one with no problems till they catch me again. If I recall shortly before moving that this forum was blocked by websense.
I also have wireless but haven't used it yet. Maybe someone can edumacate me.
Nosey rosey likes to post at work. Afterall, I feel I should be able to go to any website as long as I'm not affending anyone with my computer! Especially when I'm off duty putting my feet up and having a cup of coffee.
Technology moves faster than I do.

Sure...Let's go!
Really though..instead of trying to repair and add features here. I think the decision to start a whole new forum is smart one.
In the long run it would probably be less a pain in the butt for Jeff. It's like repairing the same thing over and over an it keeps busting..through no fault of Jeff's.
It makes sense to me to start at zero..brand new. In auto repair terms. You can't make a Cadillac..from a Volkswagen..no matter how much you try to polish it up..ya' know?
I think if we give Jeff the time he needs..and stop bugging him with a poop load of questions...(unless he asks) he'll turn out a great forum we can all be proud to call home.
Personally...I don't know how he does it....and work..too! Somebody find out his cotton pickin' mailing address..so we can at least send him and his sweetie to a nice dinner somewhere..(and not to Timmy's for stew..either!) Fah cryin' out loud..the guy won't let us send him a couple o' bucks for his troubles.
At least if we send a gift certificate or something to him..he'll be stuck with it..sneaky huh? Mmm Hmm.
Maybe a gallon of racing fuel..some car air fresheners that smell like nitro...some Nomex undies.
Or perhaps a new digging tool he can use..if he ever gets time to go out detecting again. How about some of you guys with great hunting sites...bringing Jeff on a hunt with you...sheesh..that's the least we could do.
If anyone knows how we could by him some time...that would probably be the best way to show grattitude...but maybe one of my suggestions would be more realistic!
Whaddaya think? 925Bill

Jeff, Thanks for the hard work and this awesome forum, I have one humble request...or question, are there any other secure and reliable servers to host the same type of formatted site that we had before? I guess the difference would be the off-site or linked picture hosting deal-e-o (not my preffered way of posting picts) I like the add attachment button and hunt the hard drive way of doing it. I only know of one other site, steelbeasts.com that uses the same format. Not that I won't still be a huge fan of this site even if we stay or move or whatever except shut down of course.
Minor minor detail I know, i'm just a fan of the other format, I personally feel its the easiest...
Many, many thanks again Jeff.
