hello everyone. i just ordered a Garrett Ace 250 and it's in a large brown ups truck somewhere in Florida. what can brown do for me? how about STEP ON IT!? can't wait to go on my first hunt! i've been reading alot of great posts from everyone, thanks for all the info so far...
anyone have an ace 250 as well? good news? bad news? it specifically looks for pull tabs? any whites owners wanna scrap? j/k.
i'm really looking forward to it. I am actually a sculptor/found object artist and i have been living in CA for about 4 years. what i'm hoping to get out of this are some really cool weathered objects i can use in my sculptures. not necessarily diamond rings or coins(though that would be nice too), but rusty tarnished beautiful artifacts.
Can't wait to start a dialogue and share my finds! HH.

Welcome, DD!! You've picked the right hobby to find some inspiration for your sculpting. You find some of the oddest pieces of metal swinging a detector! True, it's always fun to find the obvious treasures, but those mysterious finds also add the attraction of the hobby. I'll look forward to seeing your posts. I actually use a White's MXT and Headhunter Wader, but I've known a couple people who used Garretts who claimed much success with their machines. So it sounds like you are good to go!
HH,
Dan

You should have some fun with the little yellow machine. Reports for coinshooting were good for the price.
