Nikita, I'm still hitting the beach every Monday AM as long as this nice weather keeps up I'v hit San Clemente and some others the last few weeks and did ok on the clad 2day and around 16.00 in clad. I usually drive down by the areas I'm going to hit on Sunday around noon to see where the crowds are then plan Mon. to go there. Don't forget this Wed is the Club meeting in GG. Hope to see you there. May hit HB on Tues AM if I can reschedule an appointment to Friday. HH Vern2sjc

Now that school has started up for me again, finding places to detect has not been too much of an issue. ;D My lack of time has forced me to go to local parks and schools. I figure I need to learn to dig in the grass neatly one of these days. A pinpointer is a must! I'm also hoping to get out to the beach after some good storms this winter.

hey Vern... $16 is very cool...last time out awww it wasn't enough to even pay trhe meter! i'm anxious to hit some dusty hiking trails.
Jeff i know what you mean about digging in the parks, I feel funny digging, especially when the object remains elusive! i read digging etiquette in my white's catalog.

I find that elementary schools are good places to practice plugging. The grass is usually thrashed, so I don't feel too bad about tearing it up. Also, I bought a little handheld detector from Harbor Freight ( www.harborfreight.com) for only $15 plus tax. There's stores in Westminster and Garden Grove, or you can order from their website. It's called the Little Wizard and works pretty well for pinpointing and saves a lot of time, but I don't know how well it will hold up to the dust and dirt. But I like the price a lot better than other pinpointers. ;D HH, Jeff
