Hemet - San Jacinto area:
I moved from the area a couple of years ago. You might try the GPAA. They are located in the Temecula area. There also has been several postings about gold in the San Bernardino mountain areas nearby. (90 minute drive)
Silver mines in the Gavalin hills near Perris.
Definitely a target rich environment.
I will send you a post I got later about gold hunting.
