I have a DFX and have been using it for 15 mos. I'm happily attached, but I need a buddy to share MD adventures with. I'm not into drinking, drugs, or smoking, but I am interested in becoming the best I can be with my DFX!

Hi tominmant Thanks for answering. Are you familiar with Los Osos? I live in an area known as Cuesta by the Sea, about 10 minutes south of Morro Bay. Where are you?

Hi Jeff, I have a friend who lives in Mountain View. That's not far from S.C. is it? I will probably visit her before years end. I'll get in touch when the date approaches. Thanks, Rory

Hi Rory, Mountain View is about 35 miles from Santa Cruz, over the highway 17 hill, near San Jose.
Lots of places to hunt in the area if/when you decide to come on up. Of course, you're in some great country down there in Los Osos, I went to school at Poly and loved the area!

Hi, I am in San Luis Obispo. Only been detecting for a month or so. I have a Whites Prizm and it does work well. I have found a small bucket load of stuff and the Prism sure helps to sort out the trash. I have hit most of the parks in the area and hunt Pismo and Avila beaches. Went to Morro once and did alright, however, the crowds at Pismo and Avila sure do drop alot of coins, medallons, and chains. Yesterday a lady chased me down as I was the only one detecting on the beach at the time. She had lost here diamond ring and was in a frightfull state. Took me about one minute to find it and they never would have as it flipped 15 feet from where she was at when it left her finger. Sure did my good deed of the day and felt good. Where do you detect? I hit the beaches late in the afternoon and very early in the morning.

Hi Bluefoot, I guess I could post it in the Main Forum...I'll think about it...It was just a good deed for the day.
I hit the beach early this AM (Sunday) and got $3.08 in clad, two tent stakes, and a Ladies watch. The watch was almost new and was running with the exact time of the day. Brought it hone and my bride of 38 years claimed it. Fits perfectly! She has claimed thusfar, three of my beach finds and is encouraging me to get out more often. Guess I'll just have to sacrifice and hit the beach again in the morning.

Hi Rory... I live in Templeton, but get out to the beaches about 3 or 4 times a week. I use a HeadHunter PI on the beaches, usually in and around the waterline. Email me if you want to hook up and MD... I've got a few good places to detect. Mike
